The Vitamin Firestorm

Hyperbole much, Glinda?
All right, fine. So there is no vitamin firestorm started by my poll yesterday, but I deliberately chose the topic to get some discussion going.
My husband and I have had many disagreements about vitamins/supplements, which he takes fairly regularly. I’ve told him that for someone who does not believe in global warming (or my preferred term “climate change”) because there isn’t enough “proof” he sure does place a lot of faith in the unregulated dietary supplement industry. He shoots back with the fact that even though I don’t regularly take vitamins, I did take pre-natal vitamins during both my pregnancies, so obviously I must have believed they did something.
Usually we just call it a draw.
As for some resources (as requested) about vitamins/vitamin supplements and how they work, try some of these:
An article from WebMD.
This paper from a researcher at Vanderbilt University.
This interesting article.
And this one from The Mayo Clinic.
