L’Orange in L’Officiel

By Glinda

Sure, I’ll bite.

It seems to me that there is an interesting trend occurring with women’s hair.

Mainly, that nobody seems to give two hoots about “proper” hair color any more.

Which is both good and bad.

Good that women feel that they can walk out of the house with lime green or purple hair, dammit, if that is the mood they are in today.  I am all for experimentation of color.

Bad in that sometimes color can be injudiciously applied, thus making one’s freedom of choice amount to choosing to look like a clown.

It is a double-edged sword, my friends.

Katy Perry’s orange hair is actually a surprisingly subdued look for her.  I don’t mind it in the least.

I just recently went “warm” on my blonde hair ( damn you greys! It costs me a fortune to cover you!) and thinking of going reddish. How you keep it from going brassy though? Light reddish blonde is pretty but i rarely see it done well

I really loved how she looked itn he photo shoot with the violet hair. I get that it wasn’t very practical, but it just looked so retro-future-cool.

That coppery red is actually pretty close to my “original” color- the color I had until I turned 5 and mousy. Every few years I spring for a professional color and often the colorist tells me it will look too harsh, but it always turns out well.
