Models I Irrationally Dislike: Kate Moss

By Glinda

I know, I know.

She is considered to be one of the best models, like, EVAH.

I have no idea why, but she just doesn’t do it for me.  Never has.

Maybe I started to turn on her when she began dating Johnny.  The only woman I’ve ever liked that Johhny Depp has been with is Jennifer Grey.

Oh, I can readily admit that she is truly a chameleon in front of the camera.  She definitely has a talent for being able to change her looks for different ad campaigns.  Is she beautiful? Absolutely.

So really, I have no good reason for not being a Kate Moss fan.  She is just one of those people that sort of bugs me whenever I see her, through no real fault of her own.  Well, except for the coking around, maybe.  And maybe because I read once that she just sort of leaves her daughter behind while she goes to party extremely heartily.  Which, if you think about it, is certainly better than taking her along.

What I wouldn’t give for those cheekbones, though.

Agree on the Kate hate. She shuffled in the whole waif look, wiping out the amazons of the 80s ( of which I minorly cashed in on, modeling while in college). Girls before her were sizes 6 even 8 if tall enough, now we have 0s.
So sick of seeing her everwhere, beautiful, but come on, enough!

I can’t bear her, I’m afraid. The word “skanky” seems invented for her. (Admittedly our UK press does enjoy pouncing on her worst behaviours, but still…)

I don’t like her either (she has a cold, unfriendly vibe that I don’t dig). I don’t think she’s all that attractive, to boot. But ironically, in a post in which you also dislike her, you choose a photo in which she actually looks good! I had never before realized what beautiful eye color she has, and it’s probably photoshop, since the skin is generally the first thing to reveal a bad lifestyle, but hers looks fantastic there–all luminous and glowy.

Incidentally, equally unlikeable Paris Hilton also seems to have lucked out on the perfect skin. How come no matter how hard she parties, and how horribly she takes care of herself, it even looks perfect in crappy tabloid photos? Totally unfair!
