‘Tis Toe Season
By GlindaWell, by that I mean the showing of the toes, anyway.
I’m really weird about toenail polish. I tend to pick one color for the entire warm season and stick with it. Probably because I’m too lazy to keep taking different ones off and applying new ones. I know, pathetic.
Last year I chose a very bright, very vibrant grape-y, berry-y color. I liked it, but I also noticed that a lot of the time, it clashed with the colors I was wearing. Which bugged me because while I don’t necessarily want matchy-matchy, I also don’t want my toes to fight with my clothing and makeup.
So this year I’m looking for a more neutral pinkish mauve. I need to start looking for it in earnest, as today it was 86 here, and tomorrow will be 84.
What is your go-to toenail polish?

Firetruck red. Goes with everything, clashes with nothing. Or something a little more orange or coral. Love me some silver Minx, also, but the upkeep is too much.

I cycle between red, mauve, lilac and deep purple. Have a coppery pink I like, too, but it’s a finicky sort that takes attention to apply well. And there’s a Sally Hanson deep brown with a bit of gold that I like as well that functions as a neutral most of the time. If you made me choose one it would probably been the deep red cream.

I’ve been obsessed with a bright fuscia recently-it looks purple or pink depending on the light. I thought it would be my go-to color for the summer but after seeing the pic above, I now WANT that silver metallic. Anyone know what it is?

Black. I also go for deep navy, deep purple, and deep, dark reds, but black is my go-to color.

I got a gorgeous deep, shimmer fuschia at my last (and first) pedicure, and I think I’ll stick with it for the season. It already goes with many of my outfits (including my flip-flops!), and it also seems to be in style this year in general. All winter I wore a deep wine that was stunning whenever I revealed my toes from my winter socks.
For my hands, I usually go much lighter and more neutral, except I am loving the patterened decals from Sally Hansen and others.
