Celebrity Red Carpet Smackdown
By GlindaApologies, my lovelies, for the sporadic posting as of late. Things in my life have taken a rather weird turn in a couple of ways, and I’m trying to deal with them as best I can. Let’s just say I will be going under the knife in a few weeks to biopsy a possibly cancerous growth. And that’s just ONE of the things that is going on, and not even the biggest one.
Yeah. The fun never ends.
So, the Golden Globes happened the other night, and I didn’t watch. But of course I saw the pictures the next day and I found these two ladies to be the most striking of the night. But which one wins?

Tilda does. But you have to give Angelina extra points for finally looking like she gave a damn–hair, makeup, and dress (featuring: a real colour) are all pulled together and frankly, it’s been a long, long while since she’s looked this good.
Glinda, wish you’d been not writing for lots of other reasons. I have my fingers crossed for good outcomes, and good health all around.

Jolie is not SWINTON and never will be. Swinton owns fierce.

Love the face-off! Aurumgirl is right about Angelina looking her best ever, and Carol nailed it with Tilda owning fierce. Nonetheless, I vote for Angelina. Tough call–they both are amazing! The tipping point is the proportions on Tilda’s dress/jacket ensemble. Can I just shorten that jacket, so she doesn’t look sadly long-waisted? (Maybe she IS sadly long-waisted, but there are ways to dress for that. We all have our body issues.)
On a more serious note, Glinda, prayers for your health and the other weirdness in your life.

Unfortunately I find that Tilda’s skewing a little too mother-of-the-bride, so I’m giving it to Angelina.

Ah, but pale blue is the purview of the Mother of the Groom, and if Tilda were indeed taking that traditional position in the bridal party, I would want to be marrying THAT groom! ‘Cause he’d be amazing.
