Monday Beauty Poll

By Glinda

57% of you found yourself in the same boat as me, with no costume for Halloween.  I debated getting a silly hat or headband, but never got around to it.  17% had some makeup that wasn’t essential to your costume, while 22% had some fun integrating their makeup with their costume.

Today I’m curious as to how you choose your perfume.

Since we get four distinct seasons where I live, there’s a need to change scents. What feels refreshing and cool in sweltering August just doesn’t work when it’s all about being snug and cosy in layers of winter clothing, or warming up in front of a roaring fire. But I do choose scents I wear according to how I feel, and I suppose weather influences that. I definitely like more incens-y, wood-spice-and-moss note fragrances on the day when we get the first snowfall of winter, and lighter floral and citrus note perfumes when the sun is hot. I think all that means I just buy more perfume than most people.

I go lemony in the summer and warmer, creamier in what passes for ‘winter’ in florida. The citrus helps give the illusion of cool and fresh when it is unbearable. There are some variables based on mood, too though.

  3. Whitney Says:

I go seasonal – wwith the caveat that if I wanna wear something called “Black Forest” in the middle of summer just cuz, I will.
